Now this question could be looked at many different ways but the way I want to look at it is; do you do things in your life that pay you back? Do you work for you?
So do you? Do you work for yourself?
YOU ARE YOUR OWN BOSS
It is your life and you have control over what you want to do. Making you your boss, congrats!! Now because you are the boss, you are in control of the finances plus everything else. Are you directing or allotting the funds to the correct category? Are you paying yourself?
YOU WORK FOR YOU
You could be thinking what is this lady talking about, how do I pay myself or even work for myself. Let’s think about something, do you make your own meals or go out to eat? If you go out to eat, that $15 you spend (whatever the amount) all goes to the restaurant. But if you made the meal and let’s say it cost $5 to make, you would be paying yourself $10 for that meal. You just made money! You just paid yourself. Depending on the meal, you could make an extra $300 a month from this example. What would you do with the extra money?
This is just one example and could be used for so many different things! Think about what you could do instead of having someone else do it (mow the lawn, clean your house, watch FREE TV, rent movies instead of going to the movie theater, and so on…).
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO CHANGE?
Are you realizing that you are your greatest asset? What do you need to change to pay yourself more? Maybe you need to meal plan, shop around for the best price, use the cash system, cut things you are not using, or sell unused items around the house. What are you going to change to pay yourself?
DO YOU WORK FOR YOU?
I hope you got a glimpse of what it means to be your own boss and work for you. And that does not mean that you own a company, it means that you have control over your life. That the things that you do financially could allow you to pay yourself.
I hope you can look at yourself as your BEST EMPLOYEE and your biggest asset. Change your life and start working for you!
